BUCKWHEAT ZYDECO

"Buckwheat leads one of the best party bands in America; he can pump out zydeco two-beats or shift into rolling 12-bar blues, steaming all the way."
- The New York Times

DAVID BROMBERG

He can awe an audience into pindrop silence with a solo acoustic blues or goose his fans to their feet with a bluegrass reel by his Quintet or an R&B romp by his Big Band. David Bromberg has spent his life absorbing traditional music from its surviving creators and their recordings so convincingly – while adding his own instrumental twists – that he has become a part of musical tradition itself, as close to the source of American roots music as anyone alive. Folk, blues, bluegrass, ragtime, you name it – he has become The Real Deal.

RICKIE LEE JONES

Once touted as the natural successor to Joni Mitchell, singer/songwriter Rickie Lee Jones proved no less idiosyncratic or mercurial; like Mitchell, Jones experienced significant commercial success at the outset of her career, but a restless creative spirit -- combined with a stubborn refusal to fit comfortably into any one musical niche -- sealed her ultimate destiny as that of a highly regarded cult heroine.

JOHN MAYALL

John Mayall was born on the 29th of November 1933 and grew up in a village not too far from Manchester, England. It was here as a teenager that he first became attracted to the jazz and blues 78s in his father's record collection. He moved from Manchester to London and began putting musicians together under the banner of The Bluesbreakers.
