"Dom Flemons is a true virtuoso. A musician that is equally adept at singing, playing, and the craft of songwriting, Flemons enjoys testing his skills on a variety of musical instruments in a variety of musical genres." -Full Time Blues

"No musician in recent memory has tackled so many different idioms with such sincerity and style as Flemons, making him easily the most gifted American songster of his generation." -Living Blues Magazine

We're so excited to get Dom Flemons back here for the 5th time in as many years!  In his first three appearances here he starred with the Carolina Chocolate Drops, and now he's back with his own trio to add a special cachet to the Payomet  Late Summer Music Series.  Dom is one of the great American masters, a singer from a world and time beyond as well as a multi-instrumentalist who plays the bones, and the quills. He's a walking historical encyclopedia of early American music, from country and old-time blues to nearly forgotten African American folk music.  Dom is on the road solo with a new album, "American Songster," of which Full Time Blues has this to say: ""Dom Flemons is a true virtuoso. A musician that is equally adept at singing, playing, and the craft of songwriting, Flemons enjoys testing his skills on a variety of musical instruments in a variety of musical genres." Come out and dig the American songbag with this unique musician—you'll be glad you did!
